Fikom Unpad’s #WeeklyTakeover with Raymond

At this #WeeklyTakeover, Raymond talked about his experience as an exchange student at Ajou University.

Raymond Victor Setiadi is a 2020 batch student majoring in TV and Film in Universitas Padjadjaran‘s Faculty of Communication Sciences

Raymond took six courses at Ajou University, including Organizational Behavior, Organizational Culture, Contemporary Drama and Performance, Basic Korean, English Composition for English Majors, and English Communication for English Majors. He said that the learning difficulty (in Ajou) compared to in Unpad is more competitive, but not that much different. What makes it competitive in Ajou is the curve system where only 50% of the class would get an A.

As he spent months in South Korea, he got the opportunities to live like a local. Along with his Indonesian and other international friends, he tried wearing a Hanbok (South Korea traditional clothing); visited the Sihwa Lame Tidal Power Plant and Lantern Festival; ate Korean food like Korean BBQ and Cheese Dakgalbi. He added, it is all about an open mindset for us to get along with people who have different backgrounds.

The exchange application for Ajou this year had already been closed. So, Raymond encouraged other students to keep an eye on @oiafikomunpad Instagram to stay tune for other international programs.
